Arterial Feedback is an interactive installation that simulates the manipulation of a living heart through physical input. Users interact with a heart-shaped control box containing pressure, potentiometer, and slider sensors. These inputs influence a generative audiovisual heart system projected onto a suspended silicone heart and surrounding wall. As users apply force and adjust controls, the heart’s rhythm accelerates, distorts, and intensifies both visually and sonically.
This project explores themes of control, vulnerability, and biofeedback, placing the participant in an uneasy position of agency over a frail system. It serves as both an expressive digital instrument, and a visceral metaphor for manipulation, stress, and embodiment.
